Bourjois So Laque Polish - Bleu Violet Review

I bought this polish a while back but have just decided to give it a go, i don't usually wear really dark colours.
This colour jumped out at me while shopping, i loved it! I had never seen anything like it, it is definitely a blue violet (as described!). It is a very 'moody' colour, it some lights it looks a very dark navy.

I wasn't so pleased about the consistany though, it went on very thin and sparse on the first coat. I had to put more on the brush for the second coat to get an even coverage but it ended up being quite gloopy. It didn't even out well. You can see in the first photo there are some uneven patches. I think the brush was slightly too stiff. After leaving it to dry for about 45mins, i sat on my hand and the paint had a fabric print on it! Very annoying, it does not dry well. 2 hours later and it's safe to say it has finally dried but there are some smudges. Maybe i put it on a bit too gloopy, but i had to.

It is a gorgeous colour, there is no denying that! It also has a gorgeous vinyl shine to it. I really love shiney polishes.

Do you like it? Have you tried this colour?

  3. The colour looks gorge but I have never really been impressed with Bourjois' nail varnish, other products they do are great but not so much with the polish. x

  14. I think I will get this. I had a manicure done with a Bourjois So Laque - Prune Vinyle. It lasted ages. I do recommend China Glaze Fast Freeze to speed up drying time. it's brilliant.

  15. I have that exact colour too. I love the colour but I hate how it applies and it takes soo long to dry. It says it's chip-free also but mine started to chip the next day!
I definately won't be buying it again.
