Dior Show New Look Mascara Review

DiorShow have just bought out a new mascara exclusively to Selfridges! What makes the 'New Look' mascara  different to previous DiorShow Mascara is the Nano brush, this extra small brush helps to get right to the root of your lashes and extend them. The soft spikes help separate each lash to prevent clumping.

I am using the brown shade which I don't normally go for, but I have to say I love the results - brown is so natural and because there is minimal clumping these could easily pass as my natural lashes! As you can see the brown is very dark and subtle. My lashes were noticeable extended! I also love that the brush coats from root to tip with the small brush. Although I do love big brushed mascaras I do find that some miss my roots on application.

As usual the packaging is beautiful and sleek.

Eyeko Mascara ~ Skinny, Fat + Curvy

I've been testing out these mascaras for over a month and I'm extremely impressed with them! 

Eyeko offer three different types - Fat, Skinny and Curvy. 

Curvy: The multi-action brush with tiered bristle clusters is designed to plump, define and curl lashes. 

I love the results, although my lashes are extremely straight and never curl well - there was definitely a slight curl to them (you can tell at the ends). Very natural results.

Skinny: The thin brush allows you to get right to the eyelash root which is great if you have fair coloured lashes, it can be difficult to get to the roots with bigger brushes. I tried to build it up but it started to clump together, you only need two coats with this one.

Fat: The super sized brush coats and extends lashes for maximum volume. Although the brush is huge it's really easy to use and doesn't clump your lashes. I noticed a slight lift to my lashes also, Fat brush is definitely my favourite!

Eve Pearl Make-Up

I was recently introduced to Eve Pearl make-up by the lovely Holly (Yummy Mummy Beauty Blog), she recommended the Salmon concealer. I had a look around the internet and it's hard to find unless you buy from the actual website in the US www.evepearl.com/products. I was browsing through ebay and thought i would search for the concealer, when i came across someone who was selling a whole bunch of unused Eve Pearl make-up in the UK! After a bidding war i managed to get all these products fro £40!!!! Massive bargain :)

First up i will tell you my thoughts on the popular 'Salmon Concealer', The consistency is lovely, is smoothes on and doesn't sink into creases once set with powder. The colour is perfect, the pink/peach tones help to cancel out dark circles.

HD Duel Foundation seemed to be a great foundation but by the end of the day i felt it looked quite dry. I would recommend applying more moisturiser before applying it, as it does look great when first applied. It gives that matte effect and covers evenly.

I was so impressed with the 'Glamour Lash Mascara', the brush is fab and leaves no clumping at all really. It separates the lashes and extends them. I actually prefer this to my Estee Lauder double wear mascara! As this one also doesn't flake and leaves the lashes a lot less clumpy.

What they say: A beautiful black lengthening and volumizing mascara with "Glamorous" results.

Enriched with jet-black micro-fine fibers and formulated to create maximum lash extension effects.

Eve Pearls Blush Trio in 'Sweet Cheeks' is lovely. The colours when mixed together leave a pretty subtle bronzed pink. They are very soft and powdery and the staying power is great. I love the fact you can use all of them at once of just one depending whether your feeling blush or bronzer on that day :)

What they say: Trio of 2 Matte colors: Peachy + Pinky with a light illuminating Bronzer for gorgeous effects. The rich textured formula blends perfectly on your skin for long lasting wear. The 'Au Natural' eye pallet is lovely, the colours are exactly what i would wear on a daily basis. They have great pigmentation and feel very soft when applied.

What they say: The rich textured formula blends perfectly on your skin for long lasting wear. The 6 eye shadow combinations are versatile to take you from Matte to Pearl-EYE-zed effects. Colors include: Caramel Crisp, Cafe Latte, White Russian, Coco, Nutmeg, Tiramisu.

Kisses of pearl lip gloss combo 'Wet Kisses' is a great lippy but unfortunately not a colour is would use so i will probably sell it on. It has a lovely fresh mint smell which is really refreshing.

I want to try it in Baby Doll/Honey Bunny.

My only downside is the packaging, they have that 'lip' that you need to stick your nail under to open - which is bad news if you have nails because it can easily break them and it's also bad news if you have short nails as you can't open them, so i just stick something in it to open it. That is my only downside and it really isn't a big deal, just watch your nails :)

That's everything i got and i am so impressed with it all! It's high class make-up and definitely worth it.

Holy Grail Of All Mascaras

If you have read some of my previous posts or follow me on Twitter, you will probably already know i have been searching for a mascara that doesn't flake.

It doesn't matter what mascara i used, i would have black flakes under my eyes. My friends would always be like "Imogen you've got something black on your face", i would wipe it off and it would then smudge in a long line!!! I was always quite self conscious about it, you know how annoying it is when your talking to someone and not until the end of the conversion you realise you have something on your face or in my case loads of little black flakes. You may be thinking that i wear too much mascara that's why it's flaking, but that's not the case. I wear false eyelashes a lot so i don't need to cake on the mascara, i just think there are so many out there that are rubbish, smudgy and flaky! Anyway, i will get to the point....

I have FINALLY found a mascara that doesn't flake or smudge! And that mascara is:

*Estee Lauder Double Wear*

When applied it does makes your lashes look longer and thicker, it doesn't make them look WOW but it does the job and the fact it doesn't flake it's a winner for me. I have been using it for about 2 weeks now and the results are great, i wear it all day and sometimes i play with my lashes and even then i hardly flakes at all, whereas most mascaras would be all over your face!

If you have the same problem as me then i would highly recommend this mascara.
