How to get Katy Perry's Fabulous Pink Polka-dot Spotty Nails

If you follow Katy Perry on Twitter you will know how often she tweets about her funky nail designs - as far as i can tell she wear's false nails, and the designs are pre-printed. I decided to get a bit creative and make my own version of her spotted nails, I went for big dots, but little dots look super cute too!

I used Models Own - Pink Sorbet and a black Sharpie for the spots. I did try and use nail polish to create the polka-dots but it's quite difficult and doesn't give a nice rounded circle (unless your super talented!). You must make sure the nail polish is completely dry before apply the spots or it won't work.

I love how it came out, what do you think? :)

The Best Skin Exfoliators

On my search to find the best exfoliator i can across two fab ones! Personally I find it hard to come across a good exfoliator that actually does what it’s supposed to do. Of course using a brush works great but I feel it can be very harsh on the skin – and using gels or lotions doesn’t always scrub the skin well enough.

I tried Lula Bloom Blooming Radiant Shower Exfoliator and Naturals Coconut and Shea Butter Body Polish. Both were actually really great – I am going to sum up which one is best:

Lula Bloom Blooming Radiant Shower Exfoliator smells beautiful, very fresh and tropical like. The texture is a thick gel, it has very small grains of almond shell which do make the skin feel slightly softer but I feel if it had lots more grains it would work a treat. Lula Bloom also includes Rice Bran oil which is a powerful antioxidant which has apparently been used as a popular beauty treatment in Japan for years. The great thing about this is it comes in a huge 500ml bottle for only £3.50! Which is a massive bargain for what you get.

Naturals Coconut and Shea Butter Body Polish is my favorite out of the two. The bottle is packed full of coconut shell grains which really exfoliate the skin – my skin felt so soft! The scent reminds me exactly of sun cream – very coco-nutty and lovely. It has a lotion/creamy texture which helps to moisturize the skin. This one comes in a 200ml bottle at £2.19 – well worth it and probably one of the best exfoliants I have used to date!

I would highly recommend both, but if you are looking for a more vigorous exfoliator (that isn’t painful!) then Naturals Coconut and Shea butter polish is fabulous.

Both can be bought from http://www.superdrug.com/ or instore.

What exfoliators do you recommend?
