If you follow Katy Perry on Twitter you will know how often she tweets about her funky nail designs - as far as i can tell she wear's false nails, and the designs are pre-printed. I decided to get a bit creative and make my own version of her spotted nails, I went for big dots, but little dots look super cute too!
I used Models Own - Pink Sorbet and a black Sharpie for the spots. I did try and use nail polish to create the polka-dots but it's quite difficult and doesn't give a nice rounded circle (unless your super talented!). You must make sure the nail polish is completely dry before apply the spots or it won't work.
I love how it came out, what do you think? :)
Its very cute will the dots come off with nail polish remover?
ReplyDelete@ExpensivePink Yes really easily :)
ReplyDeleteI think she uses Minx nails a lot :)

ReplyDeletewon;t the sharpie come off when you wash your hands? xx
ReplyDelete@Fern Nope, it's permanent pen and only comes off with polish remover :)

I used to do a similar look in the summer, but would use a green polish for the tips, so they looked like watermelon! Super cute!

ReplyDeleteah such a good idea to use a sharpe or permanent marker!
ReplyDeletei've donw strawberry nails before and i used a pencil to do the little pips by pouring a bit of nail polish out on some paper or whatever then just dabbing the pencil in and that works well!
